Since 1991, the proprietor, Rolf Leutert, holds the Network General License to conduct Sniffer® training courses. He is accredited for the following trainings from the Sniffer University® program:
- Ethernet
- Token-Ring
- Expert Sniffer
- Advanced Network Troubleshooting
- TCP/IP Protocol
- Windows NT Troubleshooting
- WAN Internetworking (ISDN, Frame Relay, X.25 etc.)
- Wireless Local Aera Networks
In the last 20 years, far more than 100 Sniffer trainings were carried out, and more than 1'000 participants in public courses or inhouse trainings in a lot of medium and big sized enterprises from all economic branches were trained. In the course of time, banking, insurances, chemistry and trade turned out to be main industrial sectors.
The long standing experience in troubleshooting Ethernet, Token-Ring and Wide Area Networks, especially with protocols like TCP/IP, Novell IPX, NETBEUI and SNA, raised the awareness of product innovations such as the network analysis tool "Ethereal" which was started in 1997. Rolf Leutert's change from the commercial Sniffer to this Open Source software took place in 2006, when the unique analysis tool was rebranded to "Wireshark". Since then, Leutert NetServices is building up the European business around the highly professional network analysis software.
When CACE Technologies, the former Sponsor of Wireshark, released the first Wireshark enhancing hardware and software products in 2006, Leutert NetServices became the first reseller. Since 2010, when Riverbed Technology acquired CACE and became the new sponsor of Wireshark, Leutert NetServices is Riverbed reseller for the Wireshark Enhancements Product family.
